Michael Tanji

Michael formerly served as a supervisory intelligence officer at the Defense Intelligence Agency where the worked on issues as diverse as media exploitation, indications and warning, and threat analysis. Trained in both signals and human intelligence disciplines, he has served in a variety of tactical and strategic intelligence assignments worldwide, including Operations Desert Storm and Allied Force.

Michael writes about issues related to intelligence and national security at his personal blog Haft of the Spear. Michael is an occasional contributor to The Weekly Standard and has spoken about intelligence and national security issues at forums sponsored by the American Enterprise Institute and the Heritage Foundation.

At ThreatsWatch Michael will be primarily focused on strategic intelligence problems as well as issues related to information operations and technical threats to national security.
