Since the summer of 2006, Kyle Dabruzzi has worked as a counterterrorism analyst for Daveed Gartenstein-Ross’s consulting firm. In this capacity, he has, among other things, helped produce academic papers for the Manhattan Institute Center for Policing Terrorism. He has also contributed research to a number of projects including Mr. Gartenstein-Ross’s forthcoming book My Year Inside Radical Islam. At Mr. Gartenstein-Ross’s firm, his main focus has been on the recent developments in Somalia, Turkey and the Waziristan region of Pakistan. Kyle has also published articles in the Daily Standard and FrontPage Magazine.
Kyle is originally from Atlanta, Georgia and recently graduated from Wake Forest University. After a brief stint in Army ROTC, he began studying terrorism-related issues, particularly in the realm of political and religious violence. Upon graduation, Kyle received a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Middle East and South Asian Politics. In addition, he contributed research for a former FBI hostage negotiator on the communicative aspects of threats made during hostage crises.
Kyle is a member of the Center for Threat Awareness.
