1. The Taliban targeted foreigners - specifically Indians - in a Kabul car bombing. India was readying "to hand over the Chimtala power station and transmission power line - which brings electricity to Kabul - to the Afghan authorities."

2. Russia - treating Iran again as a stalwart ally and not a target for sanctions - cited 'regional tensions' for announcement that it will proceed with sale of advanced S-300 air defense missile systems to the Iranian regime.

3. The House attempted to pass legislation deemed as an attack on the CIA, using loose language to ban and make punishable "cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment." Under heavy criticism, the amendment was pulled, but Rep. Hoekstra says House leadership will attempt it again soon.

3. The Institute for Middle East Understanding, a group organized to assist global media outlets with the anti-Israeli pro-Palestinian narrative, issued a report stating that "the US cannot afford military aid to Israel." Naturally, no such accompanying report exists from IMEU decrying $900 million pledged by President Obama in American aid to rebuild Hamas' Gaza Strip. That, apparently, is quite affordable.
